I was perturbed by the worrisome report of another poisonous letter sent to the Mayer of New York - Bloomberg. That another letter containing Ricin, was successful mailed to the Mayor was a clear indication of laxity, which leaves some unanswered moral questions like: who is after President Obama, the US Legislator and the NY Mayor? For what motive and at what prize? Do the trio have lovers and loyalists in the American Postal Agency? If 'yes' answers the latter, then I might as well ask, why was there no red-alert at the mailing points right from the first instance?
If it is for political animosity that laxity and compromise triumphed, then we should be wary of who the next receiver might be. Otherwise, the level of resilience shown by the sender(s) of the Ricin letters' calls for extra vigilance and a doubly red alert on any mail coming or going out of the post offices, especially, in a country like America where mails are never allowed to go on dispatch without the sender's contact details.
Should that be still obtainable, then some gatekeepers axe needs to be massaged for vigilance. Meanwhile, the level of inequality in various societies have reached crescendo, thus calling for soothing and comfort, embracing and care giving to the long abandoned and neglected in our various societies, and as extending the olive branch to the aggrieved and even the opposition.
We must not allow the reckless enthronement of evil, which seem to enthuse a few extremists to escalate to modern societies where all people looked forward to as models for civility and decorum. Otherwise, the level of wickedness that will follow this ugly trend will never leave anyone untouched or pleased.
Let's all be fair and caring to all people. Above all, we must learn to communicate or even accommodate all stakeholders in our communications, especially, as it concerns our commonwealth or well being.
