Racial Discrimination...Russia

I listen with keen interest the stories of victims of racial torments and discriminatory treatments met on some African migrants in Moscow Russia over BBC Radio Prgramme - Network Africa. Yet I refuse to be surprise because, I know that a lot out there are still buried in the illusion of class or racial superiority in a world that everyone needs everybody to make it revolve.

On one hand, you may choose to blame the victims for not staying put in their homeland and on the other hand, we may blame the home government who have failed in their various capacities to put things aright. But all the same, the world needs each other. And that was why in the second quarter of this year, President Dmitry Medvedev of Russia rushed down to Africa to sign up some Gas deals. So, someone should please drum this into the ears of those charlatans who think the world ends in their domain.

When acrimony begins to build up, it doesn't always come with significant interest until it evolves into retaliatory attacks. And often times, its resolution ends in chaos or worst still, it does end in colossal loses. If we must have peace in our world, cases like the one of assault, molestation and open robbery suffered by some African migrants in Moscow needs to be addressed squarely by the government of Russia before the International Community will even get to know of it.

So, let us all make concerted effort to create a safe, peaceful, lovely and free world where everyone would have a true sense of belonging at a time the world is so desperately in need of global unity....
