An ode to a Legend…

You truly are not alone
Though death has turn us apart
You’ve come to stay
On our heads and hearts

From the street of Lagos
To streets in Los Angelis
From the streets of Accra
To the streets in Ankara
In different streets, corners, parts
Of the worlds, you’ve come to stay

You’ve stolen our hearts away
While away, your music brings
You more than ever closer
Many even want to die
With you, yet nature refused bluntly

Tears of endless wailing
Can’t even bring you back
But believe that many
Have died even before
Their death all because
Our legend is no more

Many can’t say adieu
To our idol, the pain
The grieve, the sad memories
those endless rhythms, those classic lyrics

Many missed those sexy looks
Your romantic voice
Your philosophical statements
Now makes greater meaning

Now the weight of your
Might and fame is known
Your followers, admirers amorphous

Oh what a big pain
Your death has caused
Many, too many
Painkiller has deprived of
Seeing you, our great
Singer Wako Jacko!

  1. What have you learnt from the life and death of Wacko Jacko? May be if i share my own lesson from WJ or MJ with you then you could look deep and reassess your own lesson.

    1. That all that glitters is not gold- as flashy as MJ's personality was to the world, the poor BOY was never lived a happy man.

    2. That we should never push our kids to excesses for avaracious benefits - The poor boy was aminly pushed into such glitering but gloomy life by his greedy so called dad who beats, insults and pushed MJ to be what he became of in life.

    3. That we shall never disobey the rule of nature - The pour soul was forced to become adult at the age of five. That really truncated natural maturity thereby causing biological mutation expecially in his psychological capacity.

    4. That excesse is the bane of distruction - Wacko Jacko distroyed his life by excesses. You know what, this generation is distroying itself by going to excesses.

Avoid Excesses, because it's the rooth of self destruction.

  2. Hi Bob,

So true as your lessons from MJ's life and style are; the fact still remains that he was a Star and a Legend. However, you and me knows, our creator respects the will-power and rights of his hand-made. So whom do you query most, his parents, advisors, peers or close associates?

Interestingly, we can't tell who did what and who didn't; whichever way, those who have lessons to learn would surely learn from their mistakes and of others, old or young, dead or alive. Nonetheless, Michael Jackson's indelible mark in our world can't be forgotten in a hurry.

May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace!

Thank you for sharing your lessons from the life and history of a renouned Pop Star and Musical Icon, Wacko Jack, MJ!

  3. So true all that has been said about the legend MJ, Who is a legend? What are the qualities of a true legend? the life of MJ truely defines it all. Both the good and bad side of this hero has really thought many a big lesson of life.He is a hero, sorry "was".

If you have seen any wrong part of this great singer, that is the lesson. A life of a role model is not to be copied intoto, but to be used wisely in striaghting your own life. CHINEDU ROMEO

  4. The sting and rays of the lengend still lingers. Little wonder why efforts at unravelling the true cause of his death is endless. Interestingly, the Legend is gone and gone forever.

But one thing remains, and that is the lesson we must all learn from his life and from any mistake anyone may have made is his life. Additionally, we need to pray for his peaceful rest in the great beyond.

    Cheers,
    Clem
