Memoirs of Economic Recession

Oh Wellton, my second home
Home away from home,
Home time consuming, home energy sapping,
Home challenging, fulfilling
Home promising, rewarding

When time develops pot-belly
Our hopes cling in what you behold,
what brings us some comfort, consolation

At sprout of time
We are empowered to follow,
follow through to next,
with fruits you bear
Labor and efforts rewarded

Rewards brings forth,
Clothing, comfort
Education, enjoyment
Food, freedom,
Funds to play with
Shelter and security

Here you come
Rootless recession replacing
Rewards with retrenchments,
Benevolence with boredom,
Comfort with confusion,
Enjoyment with endurance,
Economic boom with doom,
Food with famine,
Funds with frustration,
Freedom with fear,
Hope with hopelessness

Oh see how
You’ve meltdown,
Our homes, our jobs,
Our economy, our education,
Our families, our finances,
Our friendships, our relationships
Oh I remember Welton
I remember my job
I remember my good Old colleagues,
My relationship with them
All meltdown!

What a quivering cold
of anxiety, bewail, castigation,
Destitution, depression, evasion, fright,
Frustration, grunt, hallucination,
Idiosyncrasy, joblessness this brings

How big a blow
Economic recession has dealt
On our globe
